Delores Ann Madison, age 68 of Dayton passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on November 15, 2018. Delores was born on March 29, 1950 in Hurricane, WV to the late Anna and Donald Scarberry. Delores met and married Thomas "Gary" Madison in 1968. She worked for Gayston Manufacturing for over 20 years as a Quality Control Manager. Delores had a compassionate heart and took so much joy in taking care of others.
She took great pride in her family. In her free time, Delores enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving, caring, and generous wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Delores will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by brothers, Dale Scarberry, Ron Scarberry, Larry Scarberry; grandson, Ryan Tucker; and Dakota "Cody" Stonerock, whom she loved like a son.
Delores leaves to cherish her memory, loving husband of 51 years, Gary Madison; children, Gary (Teresa) Madison, Lisa (Scott) Harris, and Jordan (Billy) Burton; siblings, Wanda Frances, Barbara Kay, Lonnie Ray, and Linda Lou; grandchildren, Micah, Asia, Anna, Taylor, Gary, Elizabeth, Randy, Nathan, William, Jackson, and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Kayden, Kevin, and Aaron; loving canine companion, Lucy Lou; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will take place on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 5pm - 8pm at Newcomer - North Chapel. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018 at 10:30am. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Delores' honor to Dayton Children's Hospital - Child Life Program.
