HICKS, Delores A., age 81, of Beavercreek, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Applegate; siblings, Delbert, Cecil, Thomas, Bessie, Frances, and Gladys; husband, Norman Hicks, Sr., and fiancé, Jack Click.
Delores is survived by her children, Debbie (Vince) Plikerd, Roger (Laurie) Hicks, Norman, Jr. (Lisa) Hicks; grandchildren, Casey Kirves and David Elswick, Sarah Hicks Gregor, Nathan Hicks, Amanda Walker, and Garrett Walker; siblings, Fred ( Mary Jane) Applegate, Harold (Nancy) Applegate, Bobby (Janet) Applegate, Kenny (Jackie) Applegate, Donald (Linda) Applegate, Ronnie (Betty) Applegate, Stanley (Kellie) Applegate, Eileen (Dick) Bailey, and Judy Sweet. She was a homemaker, bookkeeper, and carpet layer in her lifetime. She was a wonderful mother and will be missed dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, with Patrick Plikerd officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Monday, February 20, 2012 at the funeral home.
