Delores J. Evans, age 79 of Dayton, passed away May 13, 2017. She was born June 3, 1937 in Dayton to the late William and Ethel Dickerson. In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her son, Emerson Evans, Jr.; and brothers: Harold, Raymond and Buddy Dickerson and Carl Goodrich.
Delores is survived by her children: Karen (Rick) Thompson, Bob (Kit) Evans, Sherry (Danny) Collins, Mary (Vern) Pierce and Donna (Mike) Brown; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Delores was devoted to the Lord and adored her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 pm on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Willow View Cemetery.
