Delores J. "Boots" Cantrell, age 85, of Beavercreek passed away March 26, 2018.
She was born August 31, 1932 in Dayton to the late Jacob A. and Lillian M. (Schaffer) Meyers.
Boots loved Bingo and spending time with her family and dogs. She enjoyed looking for treasures at estate and garage sales. She collected angels and figurines which she displayed around her home. Boots loved her flowers (especially her rose bushes)! She baked cookies at Christmas time and loved watching her family enjoy them.
Boots was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Robert (Adeline) Meyers, Jacob Meyers, Jr., Carl Meyers, Harold Meyers, Jerry Meyers, Mary Novak, Blanche Van Schaik, Louise Helfenstine and Judy Meyers; first husband Elwood Skaggs; second husband Herbert Cantrell and great granddaughter Kelsey Marie Smith.
Boots is survived by her children Dennis (Katy) Skaggs, Michael Skaggs and Cynthia (Christopher) Gilbert; step-children Rick Cantrell, Teresa Norris, Joe Cantrell, Christopher Cantrell and their families; grandchildren Christy (Donny) Smith, Brett (Natalie) Skaggs and Michelle Lee; 8 great grandchildren; brother Albert Meyers; as well as many other family and friends.
A Celebration of Boots' life will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SICSA in Boots' honor.
