COLLINSWORTH, Delmer, age 84, of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 9, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ethel Collinsworth; brothers, Ferris, Charlie, Elmer, and Pete Collinsworth; sister, Elma Meade; wife, Virginia Collinsworth, and grandson, Keith Roberts, Jr.
Delmer is survived by his children, Michael (Taryn) Collinsworth, Peggy (Darren) Rodriguez, Marty Collinsworth, and Carmen (Chad) Williams; brothers, Edward (Sue) and Don Collinsworth; sisters, Pauline (Merle) Nickels and Marie (Homer) Blevins, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, was also a longtime GM and IUE-CWA employee, and was President of his local union. Delmer was also a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner.
Family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 pm on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where a funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Beavertown Cemetery, Kettering.
