PANSING, Delial D., (Curly)(Dee), 85 of Kettering, passed peacefully at his residence on Sunday morning, July 4, 2004. Born in Phillipsburg, Ohio April 19, 1919. Preceded in death by his parents, Nelson T. and Zelma Pansing; sister, Chloe Renner and 2 brothers, Fred L. Pansing and Nelson Junior Pansing. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jo Ann Pansing (nee Vannorsdall); daughter, Cathleen Ann and son-in-law Niles D. Johns of Carlisle, Ohio; grandson, Niles E. Johns; granddaughter, Angela Ann and husband Bille Wilson and great-grandchildren, Cody and Kaylee Hines. He is also survived by his sister, Reba L. Kies of Florida; brother, Jack Pansing and his wife Emma of Camden; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Pansing of Brookville and Onilee Pansing of Clayton; brother-in-law, Clarence Renner Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Florida, several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Delial graduated from Patterson Co-op and took designing courses at the University of Dayton. He received his apprenticeship in toolmaking at Midwest Tool and Engineering Company, where he met his wife Jo Ann, who worked in the office. He was employed at Sheffield Gage for 18 years as a tool inspector and was in service for Sheffield Gages which took him all over the United States. He retired from Delco Moraine after 10 years in quality control, inspection in 1982. Delial repaired air gages as Pansing Air Gage Services for several years. In 1945, Delial made Master Mason in St. Johns Lodge #13, Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton. He joined the Antioch Shrine in 1946. Delial joined the Oriental Band Unit, Antioch Seniors, Hillbilly Clan #91 and White Shrine of Jerusalem #13. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday, July 8, 2004 at Newcomer Farley Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Friday, July 9, 2004. Rev. Edward A. Puff will be officiating with burial at Fairview Cemetery, Jeffersonville, Ohio. Scottish Rite ring service will be held Thursday, July 8, 2004 at 7:30PM at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Antioch Shrine Building Fund, 107 E. First St., Dayton, Ohio or to the Cincinnati Burn Center in care of the Antioch Shrine in Delial's memory.
