WADE, Delbert "Gene", age 90, of Dayton, passed away on his wedding anniversary, December 28, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ruth Wade; brother, Kenneth Wade; sister, Eloise Woolf, and grandson, Bradley Wade.
Gene is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Mary Wade; children, Ronald (Nancy) Wade and Gary (Kae) Wade; grandchildren, John Wade (fiancée, Denise), Mark, Molly Wade, Carrie Wade (fiancé, Jerry), and Amy Wade; great grandchildren, Bryce, Lily, Sarah, Rachel, Caleb, Ryan, and Allyson; sister-in-law, Gerry Wade; brother-in-law, Earl Woolf, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He worked for 30 years as a quality control inspector for Yoder Die Casting and owned Wade's Pure Oil on Troy St. in Dayton. Gene was also a member and treasurer of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Fairborn. He will be forever remembered for his jokes and stories. When he told a story, you knew there was a lesson to be learned. The family would like to thank all of his nurses and caregivers at Hospice of Dayton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton. At the family's request, services will be private.
