KINDER, Delbert Lee
age 83 of Centerville, OH, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the V.A. Hospital. Delbert was born July 13, 1923, in Moorehead, KY, the son of Leonard and Clara Kinder. He was a prisoner of war for 14 months serving in the United States Army during World War II. Delbert came very close to losing his life; receiving the Purple Heart. He also served as pastor for over 45 years; serving recently with Chapel Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Georgia Kinder; children, Linda Stocks, Wayne Kinder, and Kathy Miles all of Jacksonville, FL, and Leonard and Michael Kinder both of Dayton, OH; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Delbert Kinder, Jr. and Daniel Kinder; and daughter, Cheryl Slaughter. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the services.
