Dee Ann Lester

Dee Ann Lester, age 53, of Miamisburg, passed away on May 31, 2023. She was born on November 18, 1969 in Batesville, Indiana.

Dee Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and godmother. She was an avid crafter, whether it was stained glass paintings, candle holders or table cloths; it was a favorite thing to do with the kids/grandkids. She loved to cook and loved to find new recipes to try for family dinners. Let's not forget her love for Mickey Mouse(who shares her birthday), Hello Kitty and carousels; they decorate the house. Dee was always thinking of her family and fun activities they could do together from festivals(which she would have a booth every year at the pretzel festival as an Avon rep for 10 years) to kings island or just a simple walk around the block or bike ride. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she would go all out on decorations, gifts and the music was constantly playing especially her favorite song I want a hippopotamus for Christmas. You didn't have to be blood to be family, her heart was big enough and her arms were wide enough for us all. Her strength and courage got her through 5 different cancers with the most recent being cervical, esophageal and ovarian. Dee Ann was a fighter, a survivor and inspiration, she left a mark on all of us that we won't forget.

Dee Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy & Barbara Clark; her grandmother, Margaret Nixon; her sister, December.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Dennis Watson; her daughters, Taylor Smith and Caitlin (Jon) Watson;
grandchildren: Oliver, Emery, and Enzo; siblings: Melinda McCloud, Duane Sizemore, Stacy Ward, Angela Slusher, Heidi Sizemore Davies, and Jimmy Sizemore Jr.; stepmother: Connie Sizemore; her godsons, Braden & Loden, and their mother, Jessica Spicer; her goddaughter, Jessica Vargas; and extended family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to gather from 3:00pm to 4:00pm on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, Ohio, where the Memorial Service will begin at 4:00pm. Those wishing to continue celebrating her life are welcomed to join us afterwards at 5:00pm at the redwing shelter in carriage hill metro park, 7800 Shull road in Dayton Ohio.
