Debra Ann Snider, 62, of Dayton, passed away on December 31, 2018.
She was born on January 9, 1956 to the late Victor R. & Betty J. Alexander in Fairborn, Ohio, and spent her early years in New Carlisle, Ohio. Later she moved to Dayton, Ohio where she graduated from Belmont H.S. in 1974. She attended Bowling Green State University and graduated in 1982.
Debra was a lifelong member of Spinning Road Baptist Church. She was involved with the AWANA Program, Women's Bible Study, and participated widely in various church activities. Debra started her career at Maria Joseph Nursing & Rehabilitation Center as an art therapist, where she shared her passion and talents for art with her patients. She was a long time office administrator for MGZ Lawn & Grounds.
Debra was a voracious reader and enjoyed her book club. She loved Christmas and looked forward to snow and cold weather. Her attitude was always one of love, generosity, and optimism.
Debra is survived by her brother, Donald (Donna) Alexander; nephew, Eric Alexander; niece, Meredith (Anthony) Woodill; special cousin, Dawn (Jerry) Gasper; and many loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Snider; father, Victor Alexander; mother, Betty J. Vrooman (formerly Alexander); and brother, Michael Alexander.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019, 11:00 am at Spinning Road Baptist Church (538 Spinning Rd, Dayton, OH 45431) with Pastor Scott Goodman, officiating.
A luncheon will follow the Memorial Service in the Fellowship Hall of the church.
