Debra Lynn Henson, of Beavercreek, went home to be with our Lord October 15, 2016 at 7:03 pm in her home at age 57.
Although Debra was young she accomplished a lot in her life. She loved racing, and won several races at Kil-Kare Raceway and Shady Bowl Raceway. She was a truck driver and attended college at Clark State making the dean's list, and part of Phi Theta Kappa Society. Debra enjoyed arts, crafts and music. She grew to Love Lucy, a wonderful Great Pyrenees. Debra won her battle with cancer and impacted numerous lives with her positive spirit and love of life.
Debra was preceded in death by her mother, Priscilla Rose Bowermaster (Spurlock) and her father, Richard Spurlock and grandson, Jayden Henson.
She was a single mother and survived by six children, Rebecca Spurlock, Amber Henson, James Henson, Justin Henson, Bobby Henson and Dustin Voge. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the funeral service at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association or a charity of your choice.
