Debra Sue Cassidy, 63, of Dayton, passed away on December 18, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton.
She was born on July 9, 1955 to Goal and Mary Howard in Dayton, OH.
Debbie worked as a licensed realtor for 35 years. Her last and most meaningful job was at Hutchins Commercial Realty in Dayton, OH where she made lifelong friendships.
She was the Board of Director for the GDAA and for Miami Valley Fair Housing.
On December 7, 1973, she married Danny K. Cassidy. Debbie and Danny lived in California for over a decade. They made many fond memories in Northern California with their family and friends. In later years, they moved back home to Ohio to raise a family. "Aunt" Debbie was a friend to all and a mother to most. Never has a more altruistic soul walked the earth. Her unwavering kindness and generosity will live on in the lives she touched.
Debra is survived by her loving Husband, Danny Cassidy; Children, Daniel Cassidy, Beth (Peter) Goetz, and Ryan (Amy) Cassidy; Mother, Mary VanDam; Siblings, Sharon (David) Hall, Connie (Dennis) Oroszi, Perry (Cathy) Howard, Kathy Pennington, and Vicki Cassidy; In-Laws, Michael Cassidy, Shirley (John) MacKnight, Jim Cassidy, and Jeff Cassidy; Nieces and Nephews, Amy (Chris) Winkelman, Alex Winkelman, Ericka (Chris) Baker, Sean Stinnett, Greyson Willhoite, Davis Mattingly, Maria Pennington, Ashley (Steve) Pennington, Justin (Ryan Foster) Kyne, Mark (Alison) Howard, Stacie (Chad) Souza, and Eric Cassidy; Grandchildren, Olive, Raegan, and Kinlee; and many other beloved family and friends.
She was preceded in death by Father, Goal Howard; Mother-in-law, Josephine Cassidy; and Father-in-law, Ray Cassidy.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 28, 2018, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in Kettering, OH.
A Private Memorial Service for the family will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Dayton.
