Deborah Cotten Works Williams, 70 of Wilmington, North Carolina passed on February 24, 2022 with her family by her side. Deborah was born on December 13, 1951 to Mr. Donald and Jacqueline N. Walker Cotten.
Deborah attended Dayton Public Schools and was a debutante and a graduate of Roosevelt High School in 1968. Deborah attended Wilberforce College and Miami Jacobs Community College. She was employed at L.M. Berry Company Phone Marte. Deborah wedded Mr. Levi Williams on February 12, 2000. In 2013 they relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina and she continued her education at Cape Fear Community College. The two attended MacEdonia Missionary Baptist Church in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Donald and Jacqueline N. Walker Cotten; sister, Ramona G. Cotten; three brothers, Donald A. Cotten, Vernon L. Cotten, and Calven Day of Dayton, Ohio.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 22 years, Levi Williams of Wilmington, North Carolina; daughter, Amara R. Works of Dayton, Ohio; son, Anthony E. Works of Jacksonville, Florida; five grandchildren, Ladasha Robinson, Kayla Works, Anthony E. Works Jr., Skylah Bussjaeger of Jacksonville, Florida, and Treyvon Johnson of Dayton, Ohio; brother, Derrick D. (WillaMay) Cotten; two sisters, Jacqueline D. Cotten (Tony) Harden of Dayton, Ohio and Leslie J. Cotten of Jacksonville, Florida. She is also survived by a host of other family and friends.
Family will receive guests from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home-South Chapel located at 3940 Kettering Boulevard, Kettering, Ohio 45438. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am. Deborah will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum located at 118 Woodland Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45409.
