Debi Moon, a beloved restaurant manager known for her infectious happiness and unwavering love for her family, passed away on June 4, 2024, in Englewood, Ohio. She was born on July 26, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, to Thomas and Dorothy Hammitte.
Throughout her life, Debi touched the hearts of all who knew her with kind and loving nature. Her warm personality shone through in everything she did - always ready to lend a helping hand and with a place in her heart for cats and her precious grandchildren. Those who had the pleasure of Debi would often see her face light up with joy whenever her family walked into the room.
In addition to her parents, Debi is reunited in peace with her brother, Michael Hammitte. She is survived by her loving sons, Matt (Jamie), Nick (Ashley), and Jason Moon. Debi will also be deeply missed by her sister, Rebecca Hazlehurst; brother Thomas Christopher Hammitte; as well as her adoring grandchildren: Sienna, Lena, Mackenzie, Jacob, Kaitlyn Moon, Isabella and Ian Bostwick, and Audrey Shiverdecker.
Debi's passion for decorating and especially for Christmas brought light and joy into the lives of those around her. Her creativity in making spaces beautiful reflected the beauty she held within herself. Debi's memory will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to have known such a remarkable woman.
As we say our goodbyes to Debi Moon, let us remember the love she shared so freely with all those around her. May she rest in eternal peace knowing that she was loved beyond measure and that her legacy of kindness will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
