Debera Kay Spangler, age 58 of Oakwood, passed away December 24, 2014. She was born September 10, 1956 in Jellico, TN. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mae Smith.
Debera is survived by her son, Chase Townsend; father, Hugh Smith; siblings: Elbert Smith, Rita Voyles and Jamie Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
Debera was a giving and caring person, but most of all, she was a loving mother.
Visitation will be held from 12-3 pm on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Harp Funeral Home, 572 S. Main Street, Jellico, TN, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 11 am - 12 pm. Burial will follow at New Vine Cemetery, New Vine, KY.
Debera is survived by her son, Chase Townsend; father, Hugh Smith; siblings: Elbert Smith, Rita Voyles and Jamie Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
