Curtner-Dunham, Debby passed away peacefully on Sunday July 17, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruby (Hutchinson) Curtner.
A lifelong resident of Dayton, Debby graduated from Miamisburg High School in 1969 and Sinclair Community College (1971). She worked first in mental health and then for many years as a unit coordinator for Sycamore Hospital. Debby was a gifted writer of fiction and a regular Guest Columnist to the Miamisburg News.
By far her greatest joy in life came as a wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Lee Dunham, children Jamey Dunham and Lynley Dunham-Cole, daughter-in-law Laurie Dunham, son-in-law Michael Cole, her awesome grandchildren Sam, Zoey, Quin, Orion and Shane, beloved dog Buddy, brother Randall Curtner (Laura) and scores of devoted in-laws, nieces, nephews and especially friends.
Debby loved life and she lived just as she loved – fearlessly, selflessly and with all of her heart. She loved to sing, laugh, write, sail, shop and, most of all, to love. When Debby held you, you knew you were loved – for life – forever.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 24 at Normandy United Methodist Church, 450 W. Alex Bell Rd., Dayton. Visitation will be from 2 – 4 followed by a service at 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to NAMI of Montgomery County, SICSA, or the Christian Appalachian Project.
