Deangelo O.T. Casey

DeAngelo O.T. Casey, age 13 of Dayton, went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2018. He was born in Dayton on April 27, 2005 to Maria Casey and Shawn Brown. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Guy Casey, paternal grandmother, Brenda Brown and uncles, Thomas Casey, Guy Casey, Jr., and Quincy Veal.

He is survived by his mother, Maria (Perry Thompson, Jr.) Casey; father, Shawn Brown; brothers, Lavon Johnson, Perry Thompson, Pierre Thompson, Perrin Thompson, Shawn Johnson and DeVonta Brown; sisters, Mariah Casey and Sha'Que Johnson; maternal grandmother, Donna Casey; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Casey; special aunts, Vanessa (Carlton Jackson, Jr.) Casey, Almeta Cook, Tina Casey and Nyknia Veal; special uncles, Antonio Casey and Eric Veal; special cousins, Bruce Woods, Shyann Woods, Xzavier Casey, Antonio Casey, Jecarri Casey, Areona Casey, Ezreona Casey, Ezranae Casey, Dominique Cook, Dynasty Cook, Tiwonne Montgomery, O'jazanae Patrick, Zuriyah Cook, and Jaylen Richardson; God-mother, Alexandria Cole; God-sister, Iyana Benson; special family/friends, Casaundra Cunningham, Laniya, Keyon, Shabriya, Kierra and Arianna; a host of aunts, uncles, extended family, classmates and friends.

DeAngelo was a 7th grade honor student at Edwin Joel Brown (EJ) in Dayton. He loved playing basketball, playing video games and to eat. DeAngelo was very respectful towards others and enjoyed taking care of his family. He was a great leader, role model and had a very bright future ahead.

He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and classmates.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Engage City Church, Huber Heights Community, Weisenborn Junior High School, Pastor Doug Wampler and everyone else that have supported them during this very difficult time.

A visitation will be held from 9AM to 12 PM on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at New Life in Christ Community Church, 17 Whitmore Ave., Dayton, OH 45417 where a Celebration of Life will begin at 12 noon led by Eulogist Pastor Geraldine E. Hairston . Family will receive friends one hour prior to service (11AM). Interment will follow the service at Jeffersonview Cemetery.
