On Tuesday, October 7, 2014 Deana Shirlene Artz returned home to her Heavenly Father.
Deana was greeted in Heaven by her father, Grover Hudean Cox; her son, Edward Elam Artz III, and her father-in-law, Edward Elam Artz Sr.
Deana was a nurse for many years and naturally a caring soul. From having an open door policy for her husband and daughters' friends, to volunteering with her husband at their daughters' volleyball club, Dayton Juniors. Deana gave without ceasing. Deana enjoyed shopping, her dogs, and most of all, just spending time with her family.
Deana was considered a surrogate mother to many, and left a lasting impression with all who knew her. She will forever be missed.
Deana is survived by her husband, Edward; daughter, Brooke Denea of Bethel Township, her daughter and son-in-law, Bethany Culpepper and soon to be grandchild of Northridge. Deana is also survived by her grandmother, Virgie Halley; mother, Shirley Cox; sister, Belinda Dillon and her husband and family of Glasgow, KY. Lastly, a host of many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and dear family friends will keep her spirit and memory alive.
A visitation will be held at the family home.
