Dean Antonio Van Leer, age 54 of Trotwood, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Dayton V.A. Medical Center. He was born August 6, 1962 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Wayne and Janice Van Leer.
He is preceded in death by his father, Wayne A. Van Leer; sister, Kimberly R. Van Leer.
Dean is survived by his wife of 25 years, Alwren Van Leer; daughters, Amelia Van Leer, Amanda Van Leer; son, Jeremiah Cooper-Van Leer; granddaughter on the way, Mya McIntyre; brother, Kevin L. Bouyer; brother from another mother, Mada Khanga; sister, Rochelle J. Van Leer; four nieces, Amber Van Leer, Natalie Van Leer, Morgan Singleton, Autumn Bouyer; nephew, Lee Van Leer; great niece, Kimberly S. Van Leer; great nephew, Winston Boddie; childhood friends, Delaun Devine, Anthony Battle; college friend, Randy Van Hook; military brother, Jimmy Wilder; beloved dog, Roscoe; and a host of other relatives and friends.
