Dawn Ellen Tobias, age 73 of Riverside, OH passed away peacefully on Friday, August 6, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 13, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio to Evelyn Spreng. She married Dan Maynard Smith in 1969 in Dayton, OH and he passed in 1983. Dawn married Donald Tobias on December 21, 1988 in Dayton, OH and he passed in 2011.
Dawn worked as the Deputy Registrar in Montgomery County at Stop Eight Road and the Spring Valley Road locations. She loved her animals, especially her dogs. Dawn loved to read hardback or paperback books and bird watch. Dawn and Don loved to go camping and enjoyed the great outdoors. She loved her grandkids and spending time with them. Dawn loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
Dawn is survived by her children, Dena (Jeff Roth) Rauch, Dan (Katie) Smith, Harry (Kathy) Smith and Tonya (Pat) Smith; six grandchildren, Brandy (Kyle Lindeman) Rauch, Heather (Maverick Roberts) Rauch, Michael (Brittany) Rauch, Julia Smith, Robert Smith and Justin Roth; three great grandchildren, Richie, Gabe and Corrina; and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother; her husbands Dan and Donald; her grandparents and her aunt, Lucille.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff a Kettering Medical Center and Hospice of Dayton for their loving care.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
