David N. Zickefoose

Beavercreek – David "Dave" Zickefoose, 66, went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 16, 2017.

Dave was born July 16, 1951 in Dayton to the late Paul and Myrtle Marie Zickefoose.

He graduated from Belmont High School in 1969 and received his bachelor's degree in Psychology from Taylor University.

In 1980, he married the love of his life, Sue Zickefoose, with whom he shared his heart for nearly 40 years.

He dutifully served the local community for 25 years as a police officer in the cities of Centerville, Oakwood and Kettering. He continued his public service as a bailiff with the City of Kettering Municipal Courts where he worked for more than 20 years.

Dave was a faithful member of Fairhaven Church, serving on the security team. He enjoyed hunting, playing golf, smoking cigars and spending time with his family and friends.

He was Founder and President of Menstown USA, Inc. where he enjoyed many Saturday mornings making memories with his 3:00 a.m. crew, Jay, Bruce and Kevin.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marie Zickefoose; in-laws, Donald and Regina P. Cretcher; and brother-in-law, James R. Muntz.

He is survived by his loving bride; children David Jason Zickefoose (Lisa) of Denver, CO and Amy Yost of Louisville, KY; nephew, who he considered a son, Dirk Garrott (Jennifer) of Virginia Beach, VA; seven grandchildren-Phillip, Collin, Aubrey and Kelsey Yost, and Maren and Jack Zickefoose; sister Vickie Jackson (Charles) of Newton, IA; several nieces and nephews; a caring sister-in-law, Debbie Muntz; and special nieces Kylie, Kassidy and Kloe Muntz of Dayton.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 starting promptly at 6:00 p.m. at Fairhaven Church, 637 E Whipp Road, Centerville, OH 45459.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one of the following foundations: Pink Ribbon Girls, 15 South Second Street, Tipp City, OH 45371; or the Huber Heights City Schools, James R. Muntz Scholarship Fund, 5954 Longford Road, Huber Heights, OH 45424.
