David Alan Young

David Alan Young, 66, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 13, 2024. Loving husband of Jeanine for 36 years, cherished father of Ede Young, David (Andrea) Young, Jolene Young and Reuben Young, beloved grandfather of Jordan, Nathan, Tristan, Trenton, Alaina and Roman, adored great grandfather of Emi and Mia and proud dog papaw of Abby, Copper, Ginger, Rosie, Coco, Winnie and Blake. Dave is also survived by his siblings Celeste (Ron) Strebe and Shelia Fields as well as his best friends Matt Pritchard, Jesse Long, Tom Combs, Tony Thornton, Roger Bateman and Brian Hall. 

Dave was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Ruby Young; brother Charles Young and close friend Rick Hackley and Jimmy Lloyd.

David was an avid football fan, the Miami Dolphins were his team. He was an accomplished bird dog hunter, deer hunter and fisherman. Through those skills he was able to proudly provide for his family. He was known as "The Buck Master"; the ultimate outdoorsman. He shared his skill with Jeanine as well as his kids and grandkids. 

He most enjoyed spending time with his family; his grand babies were his life. His earthly presence will be very missed. 

Public visitation will be held at Lighthouse Baptist Church (2040 West 2nd St. Xenia, Ohio 45385) on Friday October 18th at 10:00 am with a celebration of life to follow at 11:00 am.  Please dress casual, you all know how Dave loved his camo and flannel.
