David L. Vonderheide, age 51 of Beavercreek, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at Brighton Gardens of Washington Twp. He was born April 23, 1965 in Dayton, Ohio, and is the son of Ronald G. and Rita J. Vonderheide.
Dave was an Eagle Scout, 1983 graduate of Carroll H.S. and an 1988 graduate of Wright State University. Dave enjoyed rescuing, caring for and fostering pets and was the Past President SICSA Pet Adoption Center in Kettering, OH . He loved coaching his son and other kids in sports. He enjoyed time with family, travel and relaxing at Indian Lake. Dave was a loving son, father, brother, husband, and uncle who will be dearly missed by his family.
Dave is preceded in death by his father, Ronald and brother, Michael J. Vonderheide. Dave will be missed by his loving son, Craig R. Vonderheide; wife, Shirlene E. Lowry Vonderheide; mother, Rita Vonderheide; sisters, Karen J. Vonderheide and Lisa M. Vonderheide (Larry J.) Knaley; nieces, Jessica, Hanna and Emma and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 at St. Helen Parish (5100 Burkhardt Road, Dayton, Ohio 45431), Fr. Satish Jospeh, Celebrant. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Church. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Beavercreek Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in David's memory to St. Helen's School Tuition Fund or the Carroll High School Patriot Fund (In Memory of Dave Vonderheide Class of '83).
