David Von Derau

David Von Derau, age 63, of Centerville, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, June 12, 2018.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Julie; sons, Andy (Ashley) and Jeff (Becky); parents, Dick & Joan; brother, Bob (KB); sisters, Barbara (Alan) Dickinson and Janet (Mark) Horstman; grandchildren, Parker & Ava Von Derau.

Dave graduated from Centerville HS class of 1973 & OSU class of 1977. He was an avid fan of both Elks & Buckeyes football programs and loved the game of golf. Dave cultivated many close relationships in his 25 years in the mortgage industry. He loved spending his weekends with friends & family at Lake James. Dave never knew a stranger and quickly turned acquaintances into lifelong friends. His impact on others meant more than he ever knew.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 3-7pm at Fairhaven Church, 637 E Whipp Rd, Centerville. Memorial service to follow at 7pm. Dave's Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 11am-2pm at the Yankee Trace Clubhouse, 10000 Yankee St, Centerville.
