David J. Truesdale "Joe", of Kettering, Ohio formerly of Dalton, Georgia, passed away May 22, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 21, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Paul and Gladys (Neaves) Truesdale.
Joe was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kimberly Williams, 4 brothers, Dick Truesdale, Terry Truesdale, Bob Truesdale and Denny Truesdale.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Christine Truesdale; daughter, Missie (Robert) Williams; sons, Walt (Sandy) Winhoven, Joey (Karen) Truesdale; grandchildren, Ashley (Jon) Young, Robert (Caity) Williams, Sierra Baker, BJ Winhoven, Koleton Truesdale, Kylie Truesdale, Kamden Truesdale; great-grandchildren, Garrett and Kaylee Young, Nevaeh, Rowan and Abbi Williams, James, Josslynn and Zayden Baker, Bentley and Michael Winhoven. Joe is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Alice Truesdale, Norma Truesdale, Pam McTeer, Shirl Dryer, Peggy Harper, brother-in-law, Peanut Fillmore, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Joe was a dedicated truck driver, a talented painter and mechanic, and loved vintage cars. He loved being the "comedian" of the family and making people laugh. Joe enjoyed going to the casino and playing slots. Joe will always be remembered as a loving husband, pop, and papaw.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 11:00 am until time of service at 12:30 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Private burial for immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Joe's memory.
