As a founder and charter member of Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Fairborn, Ohio, he served in many capacities. He loved competitive gardening with his neighbors and wood working. He shared his passion for cooking with many family members- especially dishes from his Pennsylvania Dutch heritage and his world travels- and he could often be heard humming and singing songs from his favorite musicals as he worked. An excellent storyteller, Dave loved to share about his early life with his brothers and could frequently be heard saying, "I'll tell you what…" as he opined about US politics and history. He was an avid wrestling fan and loved the Eagles, Phillies, and Penn State. Most of all, he loved his family deeply.
The family will receive visitors 10:30am-12:00pm on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Light of Christ Lutheran Church, 48 S. 2nd Street, Fairborn, Ohio with a memorial service immediately following.
