David P. Hamilton Jr.

David Paul Hamilton Jr. died peacefully on December 12, 2022, in Dayton, Ohio.
David was born the son of David Paul Hamilton, Sr. and Gertrude Susannah (Jetmore) Hamilton on September 20, 1942. He is survived by wife, Eleanore "Ellie", sister Priscilla-Pat Garwood (Dave), step-sons Mike Riley, Brian and Jon Nieport, and several cousins, especially Hamlin-Hal King (Mary Lou) and Ray King (Mary), and various other relatives. He was preceded in death by his son, Eric (Rick) David Hamilton.
David graduated from Springfield Shawnee and worked in the family business of Hamilton & Hamilton Sheet Metal. He spent six months in the Army Reserves and eventually started his own business of Century II Concrete & Excavating. He finished his working career in Cincinnati, Ohio.
In retirement, Dave enjoyed gardening and watching Ohio State football and NASCAR. He was also known for his chili and baked beans which he brought to various family functions. Dave was active in his church and is now rejoicing in being reunited with Rick.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 10:30 am at the North Huber Heights Baptist Church, 6193 Taylorsville Rd, Huber Heights, OH 45424.
