David L. Mcclaskey
April 24, 1940 — January 1, 2023
David L. McClaskey, age 82 of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on April 24, 1940 in Lawrenceville, IL to the late Leo and Anna (nee: Plough) McClaskey.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sharon McClaskey; his five sisters, Jean Henschen, LaDonna Pinkstaff, Lela Seed-Duckworth, Emma Lou Gardner and Nancy Land.
David is survived by his children, David L. (Gina) McClaskey II, Kimberly D. (Gary) Mullen and Thomas E. (Theresa) McClaskey; his nine grandchildren, Shauna, Kate, Kara, Lindsey, Zachary, Matthew, Cody, Dalton, Landon and his ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous extended family members.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served as a minister of music for various churches. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. David will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Quest Church in Middletown, Ohio.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at Quest Church, 6933 Hendrickson Rd, Middletown, OH 45044. Services will immediately follow at 12:00PM.
David's final resting place will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
