David M. Rodgers, age 66, of Dayton, passed away at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.
Dave was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 2, 1955 to the late Malcolm & Allene Rodgers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Toni Rodgers; children, Michelle (James) Stewart, Tina (Erik) Burton, David (Jennifer) Rodgers and Shaun (Cory) Rodgers; grandchildren, Gabby, Keith, Jacob, Shaun, Marissa, Steven, Anthony and Hunter; siblings, Teresa Shade and Mark (Debbie) Rodgers; aunt, Rosie (Don) Bowman Omer; beloved dogs, Sissy Ann and Paige; and many other relatives and friends.
Dave owned and operated Tuty's Bar & Grill for many years, before retiring in 2014. He loved traveling with his family for vacations. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening in his free time. He was definitely a bargain shopper. At any given time he could be found riding on his tractor, listening to his headphones, working on his suntan. Dave was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State fan. Dave was a staple in his community and never met a stranger. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 10-11am at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH 45424. The service will follow at 11am. Dave will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
