David L. Whitaker
January 1, 1949 — August 3, 2014
David L. Whitaker, age 65 of Enon, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014. He was born on January 1, 1949 in Somerset, KY to the late Doyle Whitaker and Ruth Demastus.
He is survived by his siblings, Regina (Dennis) Fenton, James Robert Whitaker, Sherry Whitaker, Rick Whitaker (Kathy Michel), Robin Whitaker, Mike Whitaker and Renee (Robert) Elswick; aunts, uncles and cousins along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Dave served during Vietnam as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp. He met many friends through his work as a carpenter in both the Asian and Jewish communities in the Dayton area. Dave was loved and respected by many.
Contributions may be made to Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation, in Dave's memory.
