David Alue Johnston, age 61, of Kettering was born on August 14, 1961, in Dayton, Ohio to Robert W. Johnston Sr. and Charlene Johnston. He was called home to join his Heavenly Savior and his beloved mother, Charlene on February 5, 2023.
David is preceded in death by his mother Charlene and his paternal grandparents Paul R. Johnston and Barbara Johnston and maternal grandparents Etheridge Alue Roach and Georgia Roach.
David is survived by his father, Robert Johnston Sr., brother Robert Johnston Jr. and sister-in-law, Tonja. He also leaves behind his son, Carson David Johnston and daughters Melissa, Meagan, Dannielle, and Payton; and his stepdaughter, Ashley Rice.
David was formerly employed by UPS and retired from Delphi and proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years as a Sargent.
David was an avid sports fan - his favorite sports team were New England Patriots, Ohio State Buckeyes, Chicago Blackhawks and UCONN Women's Basketball.
David stated his greatest accomplishment in life was having his son, Carson.
An interment with military honors will occur at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of David to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.
