David Griffitts

GRIFFITTS, David, age 80, of Beavercreek, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007. He was born July 9, 1927 in Leslie County, KY. He was a resident of Trinity Community. He is survived by two daughters, Fern Lawson and Lorene Nels; one son, Wayne Griffitts; five sisters, Nancy Hoskins, Mary Marshall, Daisy Hollan, Syb Morgan, and Helen Lawson; one brother, Odell Morgan; five grandchildren, Vernon Griffitts, David Lawson, Jeremy Griffitts, Andrew Nels, and Ashley Nels; six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie (Smith) Griffitts; both parents, Bradley and Laura (Browning) Griffitts; one son, Homer Griffitts; two sisters, Mallie Morgan and Hallie Byrd; two brothers, Odus Griffitts and Bob Griffitts. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel with Chaplain Bev Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to time of service. Burial will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. If desired, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
