David Goens

David A. Goens, age 63 of Trotwood, passed away October 3, 2014. He was born July 1, 1951 in Dayton to the late Charles and Corene Goens. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Goens.

David is survived by his wife, Kathy Mace; children: Amy, Cheryl, Angela and David; grandchildren: Heather, Chris, Steven and Brittany; great grandson, Samson Jr. "Bubby"; brother, Ron (Sherry) Goens; niece, Joann (Kevin) Lucy; nephew, Ron (Heather) Goens; and many other relatives and friends.

David loved drag racing. He adored his great grandson, Bubby and had many beloved friends. He had a big heart, was loved by everyone and will be missed.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service, from 1-3 pm.
