David Everett Banks, Sr.

David Everett Banks, Sr., age 85 of Englewood, passed away December 17, 2012. He was born December 20, 1926 in Campton, KY to the late Shadie and Lula Banks. In addition to his parents, Everett was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Banks; brothers and sisters: Leeburn Banks, Daniel Banks, Shadie Banks, Jr., Lonnie Banks, Ralph Lee Banks, Jenettie Banks, Bertha Mahaffy, Edith White and Etta O'Hair.

Everett is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: David E. and Joy Banks, Jr; sister, Ethel Hackett; brother, Herb Banks; and many nieces and nephews.

Everett was a veteran of the U.S. Army; retired from General Motors after 35 years of service; and was a member of the Independent Order of the Foresters.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens. The funeral procession will form at 12:00 Noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Everett's memory to either the American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer's Association.
