David P Ely

David P Ely, age 78 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Trinity Community of Beavercreek. He was born December 10, 1941 in Jonesville, Virginia the son of Apsy and Margie Ely.
David was a quiet man, but listened to everything that was said and agreed with a beautiful smile. He enjoyed the company of good family and friends and having a nice cold beer. He loved fast, beautiful cars; especially Nascar. David was a wonderful brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed.
David is survived by his brothers, Junior Ely, James Ely & Gene (Jeanie)Ely; Daughter, Bonita Hall; grandson, Dylan Middleton; and many nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by parents; and siblings, Ruby Fee, Ruth Engle, Paul Ely, Kathleen Monday, Robert Ely, Ernast Ely & Virgil Ely.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
Visitation will be July 20, 2020 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Funeral service will be at noon. Burial to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia.
