David E. Bond

September 19, 1937 — November 27, 2015

Bond, Major David E., 78, of Tipp City, passed away after a lengthy illness on November 27, 2015.

He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio. He leaves behind his loving wife, Mildred (Phelan) Bond; son, John (Rachael Capasso) Bond; step-daughter, Debra Schwalm; step-grandson, Bryan Schwalm; sisters, Jeannine Caudill, Jo Anna Proffers; brothers, C.E. Bond, Rick Bond, Bob Bond, Fred Bond; and numerous nieces and nephews.

David graduated Waverly (OH) High School, earned a Bachelor of Science ,Trenton State College, Trenton, NJ, Master of Science, Webster University, St. Louis, MO. He entered the US Air Force 6/7/1962. Honorably discharged 6/6/1966. Active in the US Air Force Reserves. Began his civil service career at McGuire AFB, NJ and retired as a logistics manager at WPAFB (level GS 15). He received numerous awards for outstanding achievements.

He loved the NJ shore, and enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and many sports.

Burial, with Air Force Honors, at Calvary Cemetery.
