David Day age 86 was born January 2,1929 in Baltimore Maryland to Dennis and Ethel Day. being the 10th of 15 children. On Monday January 12, 2015 he passed away peacefully around family after a brief illness. He had been in from his home in Seminole Florida visiting family for the Christmas holidays. He is preceded in death by his son Mark and wife Nancy of 32 years. He is survived by his two sisters Francis Trickler and Susan McGarvey husband Mike, five children Nancy Carpenter, David Day Jr. wife Mary, Marilyn Miracle husband Dean, Sheryl Perry husband Jack, Carol Frymeyer husband Rick and three step children Brian Bowman wife Julie, Brent Bowman wife Sheryl and Dawn Bowman along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He learned watch making early in life and had a passion for watches and clocks practicing his craft for a life time. He was a post WWII veteran serving 8 years in the US Navy, retired civil service from Wright Patterson AFB where upon he and his wife Nancy moved to Tampa Fla. to open a clock shop. He was a past master of the Dayton Masonic Lodge No. 0147. After moving to Florida he became actively involved in the U S Coast Guard Auxiliary out of Clearwater, Florida. He loved his flight time on the C130. He loved dogs naming 3 of his dogs Duffy. He also loved Cadillacs owning many over the years having once helped his brother-in-law Daryl Foster build a Cadillac camper. May he rest in peace. His visitation will be Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek, Ohio with funeral service to follow at 6:00pm.
