David H. Davis Sr.

David H. Davis Sr., age 78, of Dayton, passed away on November 4, 2022. He was born on January 30, 1944 to the late Gertrude and Leo Davis Sr.
He enjoyed square dancing, as well as making his family learn to do it with him. In his free time, he liked going camping, throwing horse shoes, and bowling with his brothers. Most of all, he loved his family, and especially loved being a grandpa.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his siblings: Mary Jane Hardy and Leo Kenneth Davis Jr.; grandchildren: Joseph D. Knight and baby Knight; and great-grandson: Keegan W. Isaacs.
He will be remembered by his beloved wife, of 60 years, Judith Davis; his brother, Frank A. (Ester) Davis; his children: David Henry Davis Jr., Robbin S. (Rick) Thaxton and Tammy L. (Joey) Knight; grandchildren: Steven L. Isaacs, Curtis A. Isaacs, Judith M. Johnson, Andrew D. Knight, and Nicole L. Knight; great-grandchildren: Kayla L. Csaszar, Sierra R. Al-Brahi, Adriana M. Isaacs, Aliyah C. Jackson, Aiden M. Hicks, Sonya R. Isaacs, and Isabeella R. Isaacs; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 1:30pm to 3:00pm on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, Ohio, where the funeral service will begin at 3:00pm.
