David D. Dean
Age 90, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011.
David was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ruth E. Dean, in 2009; one brother, Jesse Dean; and by two sisters, Sarah Wheeler & Rosemary Adams.
David is survived by two children, Karen (Ralph) Mount and Dan Dean & his fiancée, Vickie Montgomery; grandchildren, Wade Dean, Matthew (Jenny) Mount, Kyle (Joanna) Dean and Shannon Dean; great grandchildren, Haley and Christian, with another great granddaughter due to be born in February; and by his extended family & many good friends.
During WW II David served in the U. S. Army. After that he went on to work for 32 years at NCR as a cabinet maker.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday (1/2) at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday with Richard Haney officiating. Interment will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of David to either The Hospice of Dayton or the Dayton VA Hospice.
