HAMBY, David C. age 57 of Huber Heights, passed away Monday, November 17, 2008 at his home, with his loving wife at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Ruth Hamby and his sister Louise Jones. He is survived by Michelle, his best friend and loving wife of 28 years, his son David "D. J." Hamby, his daughter Amanda "Mandy" Jacks and husband Darryl; granddaughters Lacy and Erin Ryan; sisters Loretta Hill and Shirley Shannon and their spouses; oldest and dearest friends Rick Marshall and wife Cathy, Jimmy Walsh and wife Chrissy; sister-in-law and care givers Rebekah "Bucky" and husband Jeff Marlow; father-in-law Walter Isham; sisters-in-law Cindy and husband Jeff Martin and Rachel Newman; brother-in-law Michael Maroney; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends, especially the group at Forty and Eight. David owned and operated DMH Sheet Metal, Welding & Machining, serving the Dayton area for over 24 years. He was a member of Forty and Eight, life member of Sons of AMVETS Post 99, and the North Dayton Gun and Anglers Club. David was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed turkey shoots, hunting, boating and fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Road. Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Interment at Shiloh Park Cemetery. In memory of David, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Dayton.
