David C. Cottrell

Cottrell, David C., age 72, of Union, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born May 21, 1936 in Clinton, IN, the son of Sherman & Audrey (Cox) Cottrell. He was a Teamster Member and worked for Montgomery Ward. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ray, Clyde, Joe, Norm, Billy, & Gail Cottrell; and his sister, Barbara Nolan. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Cottrell; sons, Bill (Annette) Cottrell & Jeff (Belinda) Cottrell; daughters, Linda Flaugher, & Jerri Henderson; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Andy (Francis) Cottrell; sister, Sharon McCarty; special friend, Jane White; and numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7 PM on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio with Pastor Todd Hoskins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 PM until the time of services. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, November 6, 2008 with a viewing beginning at 1 PM at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Clinton, IN. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Heart Fund.
