David C. Boam, age 96, of Dayton and formerly of Bedford, OH, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013.
He was born December 16, 1916 in Cleveland, OH to the late Charles E. & Ethel F. Boam.
Dave was a veteran of WWII, serving in Germany and the Occupation Forces in Japan. He graduated from Denison University and attended Fenn College. Dave was a 32 degree Mason and Past Master of the Bedford Lodge. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 350 and the Lions Club.
Dave was preceded in death by his beloved Shirley in 2010 just 2 months shy of their 70th anniversary. He is survived by his children, Patricia (John) Eshbaugh and David (Melissa) Boam; grandchildren, Elaine Eshbaugh, Mark Eshbaugh, Tina (Robert) Ellis, Tim (Melissa) Boam, Todd Boam and Connor Boam; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Bailey and Lillian Boam; and many other relatives and friends.
Services are pending at this time. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dave's memory to Tridia Hospice (329 N. Broad St., Fairborn, OH 45324).
