David Michael Bush

David Michael Bush, age 76, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton. Mike was born on July 3, 1947 in Norton, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Pearl Bush; nephew, Bruce Foust; and his brother-in-law, Robert Ward; brother-in-law, William McManus.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Carolyn S. Bush; daughter, Amanda of Herndon, Virginia; son-in-law, Nick; sister-in-law, Charlotte Crabtree of Portmouth, Ohio; four step-children, Donald and Leila Rollins, Michelle Carrico, Todd and Chris Brandes; grandchildren, Julianna, Liam, Chevelle, Donald Rollins Jr., Manny, Nick, Alex, Brandon; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Ginger Gilbert of Cumberland, Virginia; son-in-law, Thomas Gilbert; sister, Juelda McManus; brother, Jeffrey N. Bush of Dayton, Ohio; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mike was a member of the Beavercreek VFW Post #657. He liked fishing, hunting, going to car shows, going on vacation and listening to country and Bluegrass.

He was a graduate of Keokee High School in Keokee, Virginia, where he was raised. Mike served in the military in the United States Army. He worked at McCall's Printing Company and for the Dayton Daily News where he retired.

Mike was a very kind and loving man. He was very spiritual and loved reading his Bible.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek).
