David A. Servis

David A. Servis died March 12, 2015 at the age of 75.

He was born in Los Angeles to Robert and Dorothy Servis and had an older brother John, who all predeceased him.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joan, their son, Justin and his wife Lara, a number of close relatives and many friends who will greatly miss him.

David graduated from Occidental College in LA in 1962. He joined the Air Force and served for 12 years in Italy, Germany, and finally WPAFB in Dayton, where he met his wife and spent the rest of his life as a Daytonian. After leaving the Air Force he worked in the data entry field, but he was a gifted athlete, and his great love was sports. He was a pole vault champion in college and in the Air Force, and also recently coached, which he greatly enjoyed. He was an Ohio dart champion and won many competitions. He also enjoyed golf and skiing.

There will be a private burial service for the immediate family at the Dayton VA.

The family will receive visitation at a celebration of David's life on Sunday, March 22, from 2 to 6 pm at the Moose Lodge, 2110 E. Central Ave., Miamisburg. Food and drinks will be provided.
