Darwin "Skip" Cool

Darwin "Skip" Cool, 92, of Dayton, passed away January 15, 2023. Skip was born in Wright Village, Minnesota on November 13, 1930 to the late Adellan and Charlotte Cool.

Skip was a truck driver by profession. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. He loved gardening, making jerky, telling stories, cheering on the Vikings and spending time with family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Skip was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Cool; his granddaughter, Jeanette Star; his brothers, Addie and Butch Cool and his sister, Gloria Donley.

He is survived by his children, Deb (James Felty) Cool, Leon (Debbie Vandervort) Cool and Larry (Devonda) Vanderpool; his grandchildren, Bobbie and Leroy Juntenen, Michelle and Mike Bombich, Amanda and Jason Padgett and Ambra Vanderpool; thirteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm on January 27, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - North Chapel 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, where services will begin at 5:00 pm with Pastor Mark McVey officiating.
