Wickerham, Darrell L., age 66, passed away December 31, 2016. He was born on July 14, 1950 in Dayton, OH to the late Ira and Virginia Wickerham.
Darrell is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ira "Butch" Wickerham, Steve Pytosh; and sister Julia Martin.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years Jackie; step-daughter Angela (Dean) Lilly, of Huber Heights, OH; step-son Robert (Heidi) Hartley, of Winter Garden, FL; sister Gerri Gordley, Englewood, OH; grandchildren DJ, Calvin, and Madison Lilly, Brianna, Emma, and Noah Hartley; great-granddaughter Alayna Lilly; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Darrell worked as a welder for The Montgomery County Engineer's office for 34 years before retiring. He was a ham radio enthusiast, and member of Dayton Amateur Radio Association (DARA). In Addition Darrell was a member of The Valley of Dayton Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite. He loved motorcycles, hunting, and all animals but especially his cats.
The family will receive friends on Friday January 6, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, from 5-7pm. There will be a graveside service Saturday January 7, 2017 at Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, at 11am. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to Hospice of Dayton in Darrell's memory.
