Darrell G. Smith

Darrell Smith, age 65, of Eaton, Ohio passed away November 12, 2019 surrounded by his family.

He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Darrell was a United States Air Force Veteran. He enjoyed playing pool, watching movies, the Beatles, and spending time with his family. His passion for his former businesses, Slammers, Martino's, and Tall Timbers is what drove him everyday. An easy going guy who was loved by all who knew him.

Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Walter Smith; brother, Walter Dwayne Smith; and sister-in-law, Ruth Smith.

Darrell is survived by his mother, Demurtis Smith; loving fiancé, Lisa Porter; daughters, Traci Hoover, Nicole (Jason) Sheese, Michelle (Thomas) Ezerski and Danielle (David) Santana; son, Zach Esteppe; grandchildren, James Hoover, Jennifer Hoover, Brooke Sheese, Brayden Sheese, Sabrina Ezerski, and Cannon Ezerski; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy Smith, Farlon (Rebecca) Smith, and Calvin (Kim) Smith; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will begin at 10:00am on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Road, Dayton Ohio 45424) with Pastor Andrew Brewster officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland (Dayton) Cemetery.
