Darrell R. Bent

Bent, Darrell R., age 60, of New Jasper Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 28, 2013.

He was retired from GM Truck and Bus after 31 years. Darrell was a proud Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, camping and gardening.

Darrell was a friend to everyone, and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Theresa (Terri); his children, Donny (Emily) Bent, Christina (Mike) Miller, and David Bent; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kyle, Zoey, Cora, Dakota, Josh; parents Donald and Cledith Bent; brother, Ken (Nina) Bent; sister, Regina Amburgey; father-in- law, Lawson Barger; mother-in-law, Judith (Boyce) Lancaster; special sister-in-law, Susan Kersch; special aunt and uncle, Ray and Gertrude Hacker; his beloved dog "Hannah"; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Darrell was preceded in death by his grandfather, Omer Gilbert.
