Darrel Slone, age 58 of Xenia, passed away Friday, October 28, 2016. He was born August 21, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Everett and Julia Slone.
Darrel was a hard worker and caregiver to everyone. He was formerly employed with GM and GE. He cherished gatherings with his family, especially time spent with his wife, boys and granddaughters. Darrel liked football, wearing hats, old cars, Nascar and loved his dogs. He will be dearly missed by everyone who's lives he touched.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Risa Solli. Darrel will be missed by his loving wife of 27 years, Lisa Slone; sons, Alex L. Zonker, Sam C. Slone and Derek Slone; grandchildren, Alexis, Brenlynn and Abigail; brothers, Gary (Barbara) Slone and Alan Slone; sisters, Paula (Mark) Pierson and Susan (Tim) Hartman; brother-in-law, Tony Solli; sisters-in-law, Angel (Jason) Amburgey, Kim (Greg) Goldberg; nieces and nephews, Tawnya (Travis) Baise, Philip (Olivia) Pierson, Sarah (Nathaniel) Ankeney, Laine (Dustin) Gregg, Lucas Solli, Trett (Victoria) Solli, Joshua Slone, Christa (Joshua) Horsley and Austin Hartman; very special great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, special cousins and many close friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
