Darlene M. Liem, age 75 of Huber Heights, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016. She was born June 25, 1941 in Vermillion, OH to the late Frederick and Mary Jane Kubishke. In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her sister, Laurel Stevens.
She is survived by her husband, Frans Liem; daughter, Shannon (Steven) Young; step-children, Frans (Dana) Liem, Dorothea (Joseph) Saliba, Raymond Liem and Bryan Liem; grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Poindexter, Megan Daniel, Elias, David and Maria Saliba; great grandson, Jason; sister, Karen (Alan) Ganim and honorary family member, Maxine Kawanishi and family.
She loved music and sang in the choir at Faith Presbyterian Church. Darlene also sang with Kettering Community Choir. She enjoyed arts and crafts. Following retirement, Darlene stayed active and busy traveling with friends and seeking out to visit every casino in the U.S.
A Celebration of a Life well lived will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 5555 Chambersburg Rd., Huber Heights, OH.
Darlene was involved with supporting many different charities; in lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice in her memory.
